Student profile

Gabriel Mahindu Kwendo (Kenyan) was born in 1990 in Western Kenya, Vihiga County. Gabriel is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Egerton University; 2017-2021. His dream is to become an agricultural researcher who will disseminate relevant agricultural knowledge and skills to smallholder farmers in Kenya to enhance product diversity and post-harvest management so as to ensure income, food and nutrition security.

 

 

 

 

Aciro Lucy is Ugandan national, born in 1993 in Gulu, Northern Uganda. She was born at the height of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency. Lucy is enrolled in the Master of Science in Agri-enterprises Development at Gulu University; 2017-2019. Her dream is to become a member of parliament and create an enabling environment for Ugandan local farmers to reap profits from their agricultural outputs through favorable government policies.

 

 

 

 

 

Redempter Mbula Mutinda is a Kenyan national, born in 1991 in Mukusu village, Masinga sub-county in Machakos County. Redempter is enrolled in a Master of Science in Agri-Enterprise Development at Egerton University; 2017-2019. She is determined to become a transformational leader through economic empowerment of smallholder farmers. Redempter has a purpose to improve the household income of smallholder farmers in Kenya through research in agricultural value chains leading to sustainable market linkages that increase the net farmer returns and income.

 

 

 

Agbolosoo John Atsu (Ghanaian) was born in 1990, and grew up in the Volta Region of Ghana, a region where fish farming and vegetable crop production on small scale are the main occupations and sources of income of the community. John is currently pursuing Master of Science in Agri enterprise Development at Egerton University (Kenya); 2017-2019. He has a dream to become CSR director in Ghana to reduce poverty and also to increase more jobs for youth in his community.

 

 

 

 

Sarudzai Muzhange (Zimbabwean) was born in 1994, and grew up in Makumbe Mission, Domboshava with her aunt, being the second born in the family of three children (girls). She is enrolled in a Master of Science programme in Agri-Enterprise Developemnt at Gulu University (Uganda) for a period of two years (2017-2019). Sarudzai has a purpose to become an expert in Agri-Enterprise development, to train and mentor youth aged 20-30 years in Zimbabwe, by empowering them through promotion of Agri-value addition

 

 

 

Othieno Rogers is Ugandan by nationality, born in 1992 in Lwanika village, Mayuge district, along the shores of Lake Victoria. Rogers fought his way through hard work which inspired his uncle to support him through his primary and secondary school journeys. He is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Agri-Entrepreneurship and Communication Management at Gulu University (2017-2021), with the purpose to go back and impact his communities at the end of his study.
