The National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) of Uganda is not a research organization. Rather it is mandated by Parliament to provide information services to local farming communities. Created in 2001, NAADS is a semi - autonomous public agency within the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), responsible for public agricultural advisory/extension services. It specifically addresses constraints through lack of access to agricultural information, knowledge and improved technology among rural poor farmers in the country. NAADS is currently being implemented in all districts, municipalities and sub-counties of Uganda.
