The ISCED Open University (UnISCED) is a private higher education institution located in Mozambique [[1], based in Beira, province of Sofala, exclusively dedicated to open education and distance learning.

UnISCED is the property of the African Institution for the Promotion of Distance Education (IAPED), created in 2012 by a group of Mozambicans with experience in distance education and whose statutes were published in BR No. 50, III Series, 4th Supplement, of December 18, 2012. It is registered with the Registry of the Legal Entities under No. 100350467
