Ms Jacqueline Nnam (Ugandan) is the Technical Specialist - Knowledge Management at the RUFORUM Secretariat. She joined the Secretariat in March 2015. Her role is to design and implement a Knowledge Management Strategy to enhance knowledge access, sharing and learning to support the objectives of the RUFORUM Network. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Library and Information Science from Makerere University and is currently undertaking her thesis research for an MSc in Agricultural Information and Communication Management from the University of Nairobi. Her research is focusing on knowledge sharing in online networks of practice. She has 10 years’ experience in information and knowledge management for development spanning across government, national and international organisations including four years with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA) in Ghana. She has led production of a range of print and multimedia information products for various audiences; coordinated the design and development of project websites; designed and facilitated several knowledge sharing events including two agricultural film festivals; and helped to build and nurture a 1,300 member strong African network for climate change practitioners. Jacqueline is passionate about the use of information to achieve development objectives in Africa especially in the fields of agriculture and sustainable development. She is a strong believer in home-grown solutions and the integration of indigenous knowledge with modern science.
