He joined the Secretariat in 2015. Emmanuel is responsible for implementation and management of resource mobilization initiatives and strategic partnerships at the RUFORUM Secretariat. He holds a Masters’ degree in Geomatics and Natural Resources Evaluation from the University of Florence, Italy and Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Land Use Management from Makerere University. He has previously worked as a Climate Change Policy Analysis Consultant at International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Kampala and as an Intern at the RUFORUM Secretariat where he assisted in the coordination of three Projects implemented in Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Austria and the Netherlands. He also worked as Assistant Trainer for the International Training Course on Organic Agriculture (ITCOA) lead by Centre for Development Research (CDR) at BOKU University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. Emmanuel is a founding member of Go-organic East Africa, a youth network for ecological organic agriculture in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda and has since its initiation worked as a Public Relations and Partnership Advisor to the Board of Go-organic. His research interest are in Soil science, climate change, GIS and remote sensing, and he has authored publications and conference proceedings, and supported Post graduate students in these fields. These drive his efforts for mobilizing for and managing resources for agricultural research for development and higher education in Africa.
