Gulu University, which was founded in 2002, is Uganda’s newest university, and is located in Gulu, within conflict-prone Northern Uganda amidst war-devastated communities. The Faculty of Agriculture and the Environment currently offers two undergraduate programmes: a Bachelor of Agriculture and a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering. A third undergraduate programme, addressing postharvest, value addition and marketing is under development.
