Pauline Gangla has 25 years’ experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of grant-funded programmes in the international development sector. As head of higher education at Mastercard Foundation, she leads partnerships that enable higher education institutions to better meet the needs of young people and employers. She previously led Mastercard’s Scholars Program. Over the past 10 years, she has designed and delivered education reform programmes mainly funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office at the British Council in Sub-Saharan Africa. The projects were in basic education, higher education, entrepreneurship, leadership, health and social entrepreneurship. Recently, she managed grantees on a UK Aid grant scheme – Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Innovation and Reform – which funded eight diverse, large-scale partnership projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Asia
