Prof. Osmund Damian Mwandemele is the Vice chancellor of the International University of Management in Namibia. He brings with him a wealth of experience accumulated over years working at various Universities including the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Egerton University in Kenya, University of Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa and the University of Namibia amongst others. He is serving on the Ashinaga Kenjin-Tatsujin International Advisory Council. Ashinaga is a Japanese NGO based in Tokyo, Japan, which provides educational support to disadvantaged orphaned youths throughout the world, providing opportunities to them through quality education in premier universities worldwide. He also serves as the Member of the Board of the Joint South African Ministry of Science and Technology and National Research Foundation Centre of Excellence in IKS based at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Genetics and Plant Breeding from the University of Sydney in Australia
