Michael Mzirekelenge Nkosi is a Malawian PhD student in Animal Science under the RUFORUM Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources in the Faculty of Agriculture, Animal Science Department. He is assessing Aflatoxin contaminations in the smallholder Dairy Value Chain. He has already published one research article on his PhD research work with the African Journal of Rural Development entitled “Prevalence and aflatoxin contamination levels of dairy cattle feeds in five Milk Bulking Groups in Malawi”. Besides, he has authored two Biology Textbooks for use at Junior Secondary School level published by Dzuka Pulishing Company in Malawi. He has served as a lecturer in Biology at the Biological Sciences Department of Mzuzu University, Faculty of Science Technology Innovations since 2008. Previously he lectured livestock production courses at the Natural Resources College from 2004 – 2008. In 1991 he started his thirteen years career in the civil service as a Junior Animal Health and Livestock Development Officer and rose in ranks to Principal Animal Health and Livestock Development Officer (PAHLDO) before resigning to join the academia in 2004.
